On Monday night, in the Devils-Senators game, Eric Boulton and Chris Neil had a good spirited fight, trading punches with each other.

On Tuesday night the Flyers and Lightning met up and during the game with the Lightning up by two goals Flyers Wayne Simmonds got into a fight with Lightning Eric Brewer and Simmonds gave Brewer a pretty good beating. Watch for yourself as Simmonds lands a few punches that leaves Brewer stunned and bleeding.
Saturday night is all right for fighting. George Parros and Brian McGrattan dropped the gloves and had their second fight against each other this season. It was an ok fight but Parros made sure to play more defense in this fight because in the first one Parros got tagged a few times by McGrattan’s big right. The linesmen broke this fight up way too soon.
Rangers Artem Anisimov scores a goal and then gestures that he’s shooting Lightning’s goalie Mathieu Garon. The Lightning players didn’t like it and tried to go after Anisimov. Brandon Dubinsky wound up having a crap fight with Marc-Andre Bergeron. Steven Stamkos gets a gloved punch in at Anisimov. The next time these two teams meet should be interesting.
Maybe Anisimov was trying to do his best Teemu Selanne “glove shooting” celebration, but for some reason he pointed at the opposing goalie, and it went terribly wrong. Not a smart move on his part.
Last Tuesday the NHL suspended Predators forward Jordin Tootoo for 2 games for his hit on Sabres goalie Ryan Miller.
And Sabres fans are still pissed that Milan Lucic did not get suspended for his collision on Miller.
Blue Jackets Jared Boll has balls and maybe now a sore head as he dropped the gloves with Predators Brian McGrattan and took a beating. With Steve MacIntyre in the minors, is McGrattan the best enforcer in the league now? I love the way McGrattan fights, just standing there throwing punches until he is tired but he does leave himself open and sooner or later he may take one that knocks him woozy. Here’s the McGrattan-Boll fight, check out the rights that land on Boll’s head.
Talking about a bad team with Columbus they also have bad broadcasters. As you listen to the Columbus broadcast during that fight they have McGrattan’s name wrong. Who is McKracken? They’re also wrong how Nashville got McGrattan. The Predators claimed McGrattan off waivers from the Ducks on October 11th during the season, not in the offseason. Columbus managed to win the game in overtime, maybe that will delay Jeff Carter’s next trade request.
And maybe it’s karma for Jared Boll that he got beat up, as two nights ago he dropped the gloves with Bruins Shawn Thornton and broke the code as he threw two punches with the linesmen between them which really pissed off Thornton. I don’t know, I’m just saying.
